Write and write some more. And talk a little and discuss what we have written. We will write small texts: one in the form of a game, the other through a processual approach. Both texts can be read aloud for group discussion, if desired.
- what writing and processuality in writing is;
- what writing can be, how to approach it, how to stay in the process;
- what can be discovered in writing, and how to share the results with others out of care, trust, and support.
All you need to join is an interest, a willingness to try, and an openness to the process. You don’t need to have strong writing skills or writing experience, and you don’t need to be a writer, philologist, linguist, or poet.
'My name is Alena Palchanka. I write poetry, translate, and do projects related to books and writing. I explore the processuality of writing, linguistic structures, memory narratives and territorial thinking.'
The lecture was created within the media-educational project "Support in Arts" which is a series of interviews, publications, essays, educational courses and events from representatives of the Belarusian art community and art educators who work in various fields of art (illustration, design, modern dance, visual art, fashion, modern poetry and prose, photography, music, cinema) and interpret the modern context in their practices.
